Rumbie graduated with a degree in Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery with honours through Monash University, Victoria. Having made the territory her home for the last 9 years, Rumbie has worked between the Royal Darwin and Palmerston Regional Hospitals

Rumbie has a range of experience across a broad range of medical, surgical, and physical rehabilitation subspecialties.

Rumbie is currently enrolled in the fellowship training programme with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, and she has an interest in continuing to improve health care for all territorians across a broad range of conditions as she progresses through her general practice training
